House of Fraser Store of the Future – Cleaner, Greener & Closer to Nature
House of Fraser’s first green retail store certified to the BREEAM sustainable building standard.
Spanning 64,000 square feet, the architecture and store interior have been designed to connect with the natural setting of Rushden Lakes. Features includes a large living wall that is home to more than 2,000 local plants, an art installation made entirely of recycled wire and featuring local bird species. The store is located in the Neen Valley wetlands nature reserve. To protect and create awareness on the local wildlife, House of Fraser works in partnership with The Wildlife Trust BCN who are based at Rushden Lakes.
